On November 17, 2011, ACC and LA’s BEST joined forces celebrate the successful completion of the 2011 Go H2O! challenge. 25,000 LA’s BEST students participated in the two week challenge where they learned about healthy habits and recycling. As part of the Go H2O! Challenge, ACC provided LA’s BEST participants at 187 sites in Los Angeles with reusable and recyclable water bottles and measurement charts to track progress of how much water students are drinking and how many items they are recycling in their communities on a daily basis. There’s nothing like summertime at the ballpark. Taking in a baseball game, day or night, is a great way to spend time with family and friends. I’ve been lucky enough to visit a handful of parks this year – and all of them have adopted the recycling spirit.
