On November 17, 2011, ACC and LA’s BEST joined forces celebrate the successful completion of the 2011 Go H2O! challenge. 25,000 LA’s BEST students participated in the two week challenge where they learned about healthy habits and recycling. As part of the Go H2O! Challenge, ACC provided LA’s BEST participants at 187 sites in Los Angeles with reusable and recyclable water bottles and measurement charts to track progress of how much water students are drinking and how many items they are recycling in their communities on a daily basis. Heather Hutt represented California Assemblymember Isadore Hall, in congratulating students at Grape Elementary School for their efforts to complete the Go H2O challenge and to promote recycling in their communities. Although the challenge is over, the students continue to use their reusable water bottles and are actively recycling at school and in their communities.
